Those that have had to do the 3 hour glucose test how was it?

My only downside on it, apart from the fasting was that the sugar hit me but rather than have me hit a high I had a really bad low and was sleepy most of the day after

Not awful but getting stuck with a needle four times wasn’t fun. I did two in each arm to spread out the pain. Good luck!

The drink made me sooooo sick (all day long) I was miserable but I've heard some people say it wasnt that bad...the hospital I went to only had one flavor (fruit punch) 🤢🤮

I really expected it to be miserable, but the lab I did it at put me in this nice reclining chair, with some ice chips and tv and it really wasn’t terrible like I thought it would be

Mine didn’t go very well, but that’s because I wasn’t smart. I fasted while at work all day, then took it, then drove an hour and a half drive home without eating still. I had to pull over because I almost passed out and was so weak I couldn’t even pick up a banana to eat it.
So MAKE sure you have snacks ready for right after!!!!! It was insanely scary. And the test was bearable, just lots of waiting. Bring a book or your phone to play a game on!

It wasnt bad, the worst part was the waiting but I brought a book and read while I waited and that seemed to pass the time pretty quick for me. You could also take a tablet or something and watch Netflix or whatever :)

Mine was bad.  She couldn't find the vein and stuck me in the hand. I also have GD so that diet sucks.  I also have to do the drink after I'm pregnant.  So much fun.
