Alright so one of my biggest issues is having too high of expectations when it comes to commutation in a new relationship. Here’s my question for y’all:
How long can a guy/girl (that you’re romantically interested in) take to text/message you back before you get annoyed or concerned that he’s not into you?

That depends on many many factors. Is he at work? Is he busy? Is he asleep? And if you aren't in a relationship yet, there's not much you can do. If he wants to talk to you, he will. If he doesn't, move on.

When hubby is at work, i don’t expect him to ever text me, but he does, a lot. Some days though, no matter how often we think about each other, he is just way too busy ton catch up. 
I do expect him to shoot me a text to tell me what time he will come home. If i don’t get that, I’m a little annoyed. 
We are married, a long time. It’s different. However in the beginning, it was a lot the same. I wouldn’t expect to hear from him until after work most of the time.

If he takes more than a day or two at most to get back to you and he isn't sick and no one's died I'd say he's probably not interested or available (could be a red flag) but if he's interested in you alone he should get back to you when he gets off work or if he works long shifts then the next morning when he gets up. But this is if you know him or have been on a couple dates. If you just started talking online then it could be a week before he gets back to you

You should probably look at your expectations instead if justifying them with a defined time frame of what's okay.  It all depends on what they do day to day. People get busy and that's okay, it doesn't mean they don't love you they are just living their lives.
