Insulin already?

Question

I had 3 high numbers for fasting (100,102, 105) since saturday. (Anything above 95 is high)
My doc wants me to start insulin right away tomorrow. 
Anyone else have this happen. I mean, it is what it is, and if I need to I'm going to - but it seems so early to start the insulin. Isnt it possible I should play around more with my nighttime snack? Or is that not how it works?

So, It was explained to me, that a few numbers high aren’t anything to worry about,  but after a few days something has to be done as they start affecting the baby. 
So to you a few night time numbers aren’t bad, but the doctor sees that you are in the early stages of GD- 29 weeks is fairly early- and the numbers are already high. They know that they are going to get worse. Trust me. By 36 weeks you will be wishing for those 29 week numbers lol. 
And so your doctor is trying to get on top of it with insulin before it really has an impact on your baby. Your baby won’t lose weight, so once it’s getting to big, or is being affected by the sugars, it’s too late. Early prevention is the key.

How high are your post meal numbers? Are those high too and maybe that's why the doctor is suggesting insulin?

My doctor say 120 was ok where I go. Seems extreme if it's only been since Saturday.

I should mention I JUST started testing on Saturday with my new diet.
