To announce or not to announce?

So I am 11 weeks today and I have my “12 week scan” next Tuesday and I’ll be about 11 weeks 5 days and I was wondering the real difference between 11 and 12 weeks and when I can announce? I know there is no safe time but was wondering if there really is a difference between 11 and 12 weeks.

I think it's totally up to you and how you feel.  FTM but we announced to immediate family away.... everyone else after the dr appointment and I was 11 weeks then.  I think it's just up to you!

I announced after the scan. Basically once a heartbeat is confirmed at 11-13 weeks your odds are pretty low of anything going wrong. I was 11+5 the day we announced, but close enough to 12 which was my original plan. The ultrasound was just so cool I didn’t wanna wait anymore

Told my parents immediately! I’m telling my best friends when I’m 11 12 weeks we saw the baby twice all is good! Good luck!!

I’m announcing right after my big 12 week scan, where I’ll technically be 11 weeks 6 days

It is really up to you. For me this pregnancy  is very hard and so stressing that i will be waiting till easter. 
Just family knows.

Personally, I’m waiting until my 12 weeks scan to make sure the heart is still beating and everything is okay before announcing it publicly. My immediate family already know. But there’s not right and wrong time. It’s up to you.
