Is is possible I have Herpes????

Question

I am virgin. The farthest I've ever gone is kissing my boyfriend. He may have had a cold sore when I kissed him and now he is worried he touched his cold sore and transferred it to his dick..(yes that is what the doctors told him). 
Im kind of freaking out, I am the least experienced person and i never thought kissing would freaking have consequences. Is it possible I have Hpv2?? ANY knowledge or advice to what i do now is appreicated, since whatever i google tells me contradicting information.

If he had a cold sore when you kissed him, then yes, you could have it now too. And yes, cold sores can transfer to genitals, but unlikely to do so by just touching his lip briefly before touching his penis. It’s not impossible though.
Cold sores alone are very common, about half of the entire population has them. You can always call your doctor and ask them about it, and blood tests can be run to check for herpes, but it’s easiest for them to diagnose herpes when sores are present (either on your lip as cold sores or on your genitals).
