Second csection scheduling?

My OB is saying they usually schedule at 38w for the second csection. That seems early to me, considering the rules from the AAP says 39-40w is fullterm.
When did you ladies schedule your second csection and did everything turn out ok?

39 weeks is when my 2 planned ones were scheduled.

I had my daughter at 38 weeks plus 2, 
I think sometimes its just nearest available slot xx

For my first scheduled it was 39 weeks for this one, they are thinking if doing it at 38, based off if how they cut me internally. I have a smiley face,  but she was concerned that they may have done a vertical cut internally.

My doc is doing 38 wks for my second. But my first was vaginal induced due to preeclampsia. 2nd was induced and he ended up being almost 10lbs. So I think they are just playing it safe with the third.

39 weeks. Unless there is a medical reason why it’s earlier that doesn’t seem right. You have the choice in this. My doctor was willing to let me go to 40 but my husband could get more time off at 39, otherwise I would have gone to 40.

I had my son schedule c section at 39 weeks exactly and I was told they can not do it a few days early this time I have to wait till 39 weeks.
