Can I sign up for Medicaid?

So I’m under 18 and my mom told me if I don’t get on medcaid by the time my son is born she will make me pay the whole thing even what insurance covered because she thinks it’ll teach me a lesson (I planned on paying for what she’s covered already and my hospital bill but only what insurance didn’t cover since that’s what we’d actually be paying ). 
So me and my boyfriend got our new place today but won’t be able to move in until March 16th because that’s when our electricity and water will be turned on. Im due April 6th. 
I guess what my question is even tho I don’t LIVE in the address I’d be giving Medicaid yet but will be in 16-17 days can I use the address yet or have to wait?

It depends.  You’re a minor so your mom is required to provide your insurance.  Plus, she can’t make you pay shit 🤷‍♀️ she can talk all she wants but not a court in the world would enforce that.  You can contact your county services and see what you can do though.  Good luck xx

You can get state insurance and it will pay for everything you need to ensure your health and babies.   Otherwise you're looking at a $16,000 Dr bill... You can also get WIC to help pay for formula.

Legally your mom still has to take care of you. Also she has to pay for whatever medical things you need. Honestly tell her its her fault for having you because shes legally responsible for you.

since you are technically a minor I’m really not sure if you can qualify for Medicaid at the moment... not to mention it took me about 3 months from application to me getting my Medicaid ID in the mail. Since you are a minor when you got pregnant your mom is supposed to be held responsible for all of those bills 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was in a kinda similar situation accept I’m 20 and on my parents insurance and I used Medicaid to cover the rest of whatever my primary insurance didn’t cover. 
I highly recommend going to your local office and asking these questions ASAP and applying for it if you can. I was lucky enough that they went back and helped paid for my bills back in August when I first found out I was pregnant but in some states they only go back 60-90 days to help you pay after you have already been approved.

I applied for Medicaid when I was 15 and pregnant. Even if your mother has insurance for you, it does not cover your child’s expenses. You need to have insurance for your child. You do not need your mom to apply for Medicaid for your unborn child. I do remember that i still had to provide my dads income for myself, but his income did not apply to my unborn. 
I would just go in and make an appointment, in my experience the case workers were really helpful because I was under age.
