Im a bit at a loss.

My partner gave me chlamydia last year, we were both treated and i thought that was the end of it.

Then I became pregnant and during my prenatal workup, the test came back positive for chlamydia again. We were both treated and waited 10 days after treatment to have sex again. I was then retested by OB to make sure it was gone but test was run with a clean catch specimen which I recently learned is ineffective at testing for chlamydia so basically they got the wrong sample to run the test on. Test came back negative.

Partner also got retested and his came back positive so im pretty sure mine was a false negative.

Partner swears up and down that he has not been cheating, if thats true, the antibiotics they keep prescribing are not working even though we are taking them as directed. The clinic he is going to wants to put him back on the same antibiotics.

Dont know what to do because im 21w pregnant and dont want this to affect baby. I was retested again today via a swab instead of urine per my request and im waiting on results.

Has anyone else experienced antibiotics not working to treat chlamydia even after multiple doses? Please any insight would help.
