Contractions or just a tummy ache?

Question

I’m getting cramps in my stomach that almost feels like I’m getting a stomach ache higher up in my stomach and it’s making me nauseous. It does get harder but I can’t tell if it’s baby pushing up her little butt against me or if it’s actually my stomach tightening. Anyone else have this does it sound like contractions to you? None of the cramping feeling is down low it’s all higher in my stomach.

I’m 34 weeks and I waited a day and a half with abdominal/belly pain and tightening thinking it was just gas or constipation. This morning I finally went into the hospital and found out that they have been contractions all along, and I was dilated a little. They were 5 mins apart and a minute long. They slowed on their own but if your unsure I would go get checked, you never know.
