Rent houses...??

Me and SO are trying to move out his parents house for so many reasons and are looking into rent houses but we desperately need advice since we have no credit and no experience with getting a place i know we need at least first and last months rent and application fees but what else or will we even be able to rent a place

I'm not sure how it is where you live, but in Ontario, Canada, if you're renting anywhere they do credit checks. They would also want employment letters to show you can pay the rent and possibly even post-dated cheques. You could look into basement apartments as they would still be easier to get than in a building or condo since you don't have credit!

Honestly never heard of getting a credit check, I've rented a lot of places and that's never happened. I know the landlord will need proof of employment though, first months rent and damage deposit as well.

It depends on the landlord or renting agency. I definitely rented places before I had any credit. My current place required proof of income because their contract stated that rent should be 1/3 or less of your income, basically to be sure you could afford it.
