My grandmother actually died from a blood clot at 23 caused by birth control, of course that was in ‘60’s...

It would be very difficult for the estrogen to cause blood clots if you do not already have a history or family history of them. I've seen plenty of women on here who have gotten blood clots from combo methods because an accurate health history wasn't given/asked for. If you or someone in your family has a history, use progestrin-only or non-hormonal methods. If there isn't a history, you should be fine to use a combo method.

So when I was on BC after a while I started getting pain in my armpits and chest... I went to my doctor who had me tested for blood clots because that’s a risk with BC, apparently I didn’t have any and they didn’t know why I was hurting but I stopped BC and the pain stopped. So I know it was causing it I just don’t have medical proof
