Who still gets ewcm with their iud every month? Mines hormonal (Kyleena) and wondering if that’s normal.

Discharge doesn't matter when you're on birth control. I've had clear stretchy discharge every day for the past 3 years that I've been on birth control. I doubt I ovulate every day! Birth control can change discharge. And not only that but as the other poster said, iuds don't really stop ovulation but they work in other ways

Progesterone only birth control methods domt stop ovulation consistently. Only methods with estrogen stop ovulation aka combo pills, patches and rings. Progesterone only birth control prevents pregnancy by thinning the lining of the uterus so an egg cant attach and thickening cervical mucus so sperm cant get through. So even tho you may still ovulate you are protected. Progesterone only methods include mini pills, shot, implants and hormonal iuds. I used the mini pill for 2 years without condoms or pull out and never got pregnant and yes I still ovulated every month. I'm on mirena for 9 months without condoms and pull out and havent gotten pregnant. I sometimes have ovulated but after month 4 my periods have stopped and lately havent gotten ovulation mucus. Either way you're protected as long as it is in place so yes it is normal.
