When did you tell family / close friends your pregnant?

I’m super close with my parents so I told my mom the day I got my first BFP. She of course wouldn’t be able to keep it secret so I told my dad and am telling my brother today (I’m 4 weeks 1 day). I’ve also told one of my best friends who is also pregnant and a close coworker to confide in. We will tell my in-laws next week.
Is this too soon? Ship has sailed but I’m curious when others told their inner circles!

It took 5 years to get pregnant with our first, so we told family immediately. We miscarried and later I explained to friends. Because I had been open about our infertility journey and didn't feel right leaving them out. 7 years 2 months total to our rainbow and we told our family the day we got our positive, then we told everyone else the day after when we got official confirmation. Thankfully that pregnancy went well and our rainbow will be 1 in 23 days! I was happy we told everyone immediately with both, because we had a lot of support when we went through our loss.

We told our close family and friends immediately. At 10 weeks we no longer kept it secret and were telling pretty much everyone. I ended up miscarrying the next day, but I do not regret telling anyone. I had an amazing support group of people after my loss!! We are TTC again and the only reason I’m tempted to wait to say anything is because my daughter. She’s six and it was hard for her to understand what happened.

Coming from someone that was just as excited as you, my husband and I told everyone as soon as we found out. Unfortunately we had a miscarriage later on. So I’d wait but unless you’re okay with everyone knowing the potential downside then go ahead and share the great news!

When I got pregnant in October I told my
Mom and my close friends right away. I then decided to tell my husbands family and my grandparents when I was just over 2 months (going in for my 1st ultrasounds the next week that would have made me 12 weeks) and sadly miscarried. I regret telling everyone so soon. Next time I would wait for the 12 week mark

Just depends on if your ok w having to explain a loss. Some ppl have a hard time ppl asking about the baby & having to say they lost it. That’s why most wait until chance of miscarriage is low. 
I plan to tell our family if I ever get preg. Then announce at the normal time.
