Soldering wedding rings??

I never got my wedding and engagement rings soldered together. My hubby surprised me with an anniversary band and now I’m considering it since they really tend to spin around now. Any ladies have their rings soldered? Did it mess up the bands? Would you recommend doing it?

I wanted them done but never have. A friend just went to Jared and they ruined hers:(. Shes been married for 8 years. She has to bring them to small claims, its a real mess. So i decided not to chance it
