When to take ovulation test?

Hi lovelies, This is my 1st month that I will be taking ovulation tests(Clearblue digital). Currently I am on CD7. - So when to start, at what time of the day,( I drink water like a fish meaning I use loo pretty frequently) for how long I have to hold before testing and Ido i need to drink less water? 
Sorry if my questions seems stupid 🤪😬

The regular digital or the digital advanced? They both should be taken with first morning urine, but one tests both estrogen and lh and the other only tests lh. The digital advanced you start testing day 8 of a 28 day cycle and the regular digital I believe recommends a day 11 or 12 start.
