What are some things you wish you knew or were told before you got into a relationship?

There are many things I wish I had known, but I want to know what you wish you had known or been told.

Honestly I don’t know because the only thing that was a big problem in my relationship was porn and the only reason it was was because I’d never been around it or talked about it with anyone and I was sexually assaulted multiple times not long before we met and the first time was at 6, so my view on sex and sexual stuff was honestly kinda ruined by those experiences and I just cant be comfortable with porn, so when I realized how many porn stars he followed and started looking into it and even when I tried to watch it to see if I could just get over it, it just made me feel worse. And I even watched a documentary on feminist porn and I totally support it and wish they could all be like that, but I still just can’t deal. But ya eventually after coming to a common ground and him understanding what I’ve gone through  and how that’s affected me sexually, he supported me and respected me and stopped. This is a recent thing, so it’s still been hard for me just thinking about the past, but ya like I didn’t know to be bothered by it before we started dating because idk I guess I was sheltered and not around people who talked about it. And I had a tumblr, but I’d just scroll past or unfollow and it never crossed my mind until him.

I wish I was told things that would happen
-for example, being love struck or head over heels can’t eat can’t sleep. You will feel this when you meet/get to know someone you are interested in. You may feel like you are going crazy. Just remember that it’s all normal. Remember that sometimes it will work out. And maybe it won’t.
