Whose done clomid ? Update**

So my husband and I saw a fertility specialist / reproductive endocrinologist last night. We have been trying since Nov 2017 so awhile now. Anyways the doctor wants us to try naturally three more months.

Then he suggested we do clomid for 4 try’s and then jump into

IVF

. I’m super confused though on what to do. I thought I would just be taking clomid and nothing else but he said it would be clomid and artificially inseminating me as well? Has anyone else experienced this? I haven’t read anything online about that artificial insemination part just the clomid part. My husband feels like it won’t be him having the baby with me and I totally get that. It’s a pride thing for him and I don’t want him to feel like this isn’t a team thing because it totally is. Someone give us some advice please. We have three months to think about it but I’m just so confused.

Some background my husband is 30 and has a 4 year old son. I’m 26 never been pregnant before. My husband also went back to school right now and has a year left so financially yes we can handle it but I’m not sure if it’s the best time. By the time we got pregnant he’d be done he’s got a year of school left.

So thanks for your responses ladies! My husband and I have some things to think about. I called my insurance and surprisingly they cover 90% of the procedure since I’ve met my deductible. And I’m pretty sure whoever called it IUI you were right . Still would love to hear from more people!
