Milk supply drops after first pump of the day?

I will get approximately 6 oz total from my first pump of the day, and after that I'll be lucky to get over 2 oz. Currently I am exclusively pumping, my daughter is only a week old and I'm new to this I don't know if this is normal or not? What am I doing wrong?

Sleep makes milk a lot. Probably it is the reason. For a week old, 6 oz is a lot. Your baby is lucky 🙏

Ya this is totally normal even as baby gets older. My first pump is usually 6-8oz then the rest are 3-5oz. 2oz is a lot for a two week old so you're doing great.

I bought "Healthy Nursing Tea" because my milk supply took a dip when my monthly cycle returned. I needed a boost in my milk supply so I used this tea and had a better bedtime feeding for my 8 month old the same day.

That has always been my case, lately I get 10 oz (most ever in single session!! (Im 4 months in)) in the AM then 6 every 4 hrs following

I think this is normal. I get more in the morning, especially with my first pump. It drops with every session as the day goes on. When you pump first thing, how long has it been since your last pump? Because if I sleep too long and go 5-6 hours, I get a larger amount than if it's been 3 or 4 hours. I dunno if this is normal, but it's my experience too 🤷 (3 weeks in)
