Lip tie?

Is this considered a lip tie? I can’t get a good look at her tongue. She’s 2 weeks old....
Big sister had nursing issues and I just checked hers and it goes down between her front teeth. It looks like a lip tie to me but I had her evaluated so many times when we had nursing problems and was always told no.

My daughters top lip looks just like that and were 5 months in with no breastfeeding problems at all.
Doesn't mean it's not a lip tie though as I've never needed my daughter checked so I can't say one way or another.

My daughter had the same, although not quite as tight.  Pediatrician used a laser to “cut” it. Took like 5 minutes, didn’t seem to hurt her, and was all healed in less than a week. After that she nursed just fine

My little one has that too. We just went to an ENT to see if she would need it fixed bc she was having trouble latching and feeding but they told me that it was no affect on the baby’s feeding. The only time they would snip something is if the baby’s tongue movement was limited due to a tie underneath it. They said the only problem that will cause is a possible space between her teeth when she gets older (which I also had as a child) and if we wanted to we could go to a special dentist and they will laser it to prevent that space.

Just wanted to follow up for anyone who searches lip or tongue ties. This is a class 3 tie which oftentimes accompanied a posterior tongue tie. My daughter had both so we got them revised today.
