BLW early?

Has anyone started BLW a few days before their baby turned 6 months? My son turns 6 months on Wednesday but I was wondering if it would be okay to start BLW 5 days early? He is showing signs he is ready and he sits up unassisted.

Go for it. I'm not doing BLW but have been making purees, however so far my baby has pinched a banana, apple and a rice cake 🙂 he's just over 5 months old

As long as baby can sit unassisted for at least a minute, not tripod sitting, then I’d say go for it. Otherwise I’d wait

We started when she first reached for food and put it in her mouth... she was just about 5 months.

We started early, my daughter wanted food. She loves eating and I love watching her discover new food. Her favorite so far is watermelon 🍉

We might start a few days early too as my husband and 6 year old will be out of town when baby turns 6 months and I’d like for them to witness her first few meals 😊
