What should I do?

My boyfriend keeps talking to his ex. They have kids together. His ex lives at his moms house due to the fact she had no where to go. Him and I have been together 2 years. The other day he got a phone. When I would walk by he swipes out messages. Her and I have talked off and on. I don’t have anything against her. She messaged me the other day saying he asked her for money.  Him and I have been back and forth about this whole thing. I told him I don’t feel comfortable knowing they talk like that. And not about the kids. I would have caught hell if I talked to my ex like that. Thing is he will stop talking to her unless its about the kids if he’s been caught. And goes back hiding doing it again and again. I just don’t feel to comfortable knowing they were talking like that. What do I do??

You should've thought about that before getting w someone who has kids. 
She's always going to be in his life regardless. There's always going to be some type of communication between them. 🤷🏻‍♀️ All you can do is trust him. If you can't do that, i'd suggest you go your own way.

The fact that she lives with his mom? Is weird. I wouldn’t want to date someone who is that attached to their ex. It’s hard enough dating someone with kids because their ex will always be there. But I also believe if he respect you, he would be open to you seeing their communication and put your heart at ease. Without that I couldn’t deal with it, it’s not healthy. I’d leave before I get attached to him and her with your baby.

It’s not healthy at all if you don’t trust you will run yourself mad... Do what best for you .. if not kids together walk away... don’t second guess your relationship with him every day life’s too short

I personally wouldn’t be dealing with that. Sounds bad but I would be reluctant to date a guy with kids if I didn’t have any. Too much drama for me.

Wow there are a lot of people on here bashing instead of giving advice? Lol. Ummm, personally I look at it this way... her living with his mom is weird but if she has no where else to go the grandmother doesn’t want her grandchildren just living anywhere so I can kind of understand that and he’s not living there so for now I wouldn’t let that bother you... the communication is okay as long as it is for the children. But also if it is for the children I don’t understand why he would be hiding that from you? How can you trust that the baby’s mother is telling the truth about the money situation? Have there been infidelities or lies in the past? Communication is key. Have a talk with him & tell him how you feel.
