Am I pregnant?

My period is only 4 days late, and my bf and I have used a condom every single time we have had sex. But I’m so paranoid that I’m pregnant because my boobs hurt like crazy and I’m not bleeding yet... idk if I should take a test yet or talk to him about it first or what😭 I’m about to graduate college in May 😭

My boobs do that sometimes right before my period. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. You are probably fine. I have lived this life though, so I know that trying to just not worry won’t work. I might get a test just to check and when it comes out negative, you’ll have some peace of mind. The frustrating thing is that periods can be delayed by stress, so you’re stressing about being pregnant while also trying to not stress so your period will come. I always talk myself up “I’m not pregnant. There’s no way. We use condoms religiously. I’m gonna get this test to convince myself.” 🤷🏻‍♀️
Also, don’t let anyway pressure you into getting on birth control or make you feel bad for not being on it. In my many years of using condoms as my primary form of birth control, I have had several well meaning friends try to push me into getting on the pill or make me feel like I’m ruining my life my using condoms. When used properly and as intended every single time, condoms are about 98% effective. My SO and I make sure he has it on from the time he enters my vagina to the time we’re done, and he doesn’t cum inside me. We also double-check the condom afterwards (fill it with water and make sure it doesn’t have any holes... kinda gross but 🤷🏻‍♀️) and if anything seemed weird or off, we get a plan B. We have never had an issue. No birth control is 100% effective, and ultimately it is your choice how you want to prevent pregnancy. (Sorry for the mini-rant 😬)
