Sterilized ladies, when were you finally able to get your tubes tied?

I’m researching getting my tubes tied and have heard countless women having trouble with doctors refusing them because they’re “too young” so I’d like to know if you got it done, what age were you? Did it take you a long time to convince a doctor to sterilize you? Please vote and comment your experiences.

A clinic I go to allowed me to sign the papers for it to start the process (consent for sterilization). I'm 24 with no kids. First time I've been taken seriously.

I’ve never had mine done but my mom has here’s some at 31, I believe, with no issues. My doctors and I have talked about it and if you have more than 1 child then you shouldn’t have any issues. If you only have 1 child and are in your 20s then you c an still have them done but they said they like to talk with their patients about it and then tell them to set another appointment up and to really think about it before that appointment. If they come into the next appointment and still 100% want their tubes tied then they will do it. You just can’t show any sign of possible doubt if your in your 20’s because they said if they think they patient is doubting being 100% positive then they won’t do it because they need to be 100% sure that the patient is 100% sure before they will do it if they have only 1 child and are in their 20’s. I have 3 daughters, I’m 27 right now, and they have asked me if I had plans to tie my tubes when I was pregnant with my second daughter so that if I wanted that done they could be ready after I gave birth. I still wanted more kids so I didn’t go that route but have had talks about it with a few doctors.
