How to not cough while smoking

Ok guys I'm so tired of coughing my lungs out when I'm smoking. I've tried taking smaller hits and inhaling/exhaling slower, constantly drinking something when i smoke but nothing helps. It makes smoking a lottt less enjoyable and I see these people smoking whole blunts without a single cough. It like tickles the living shit out of that punching bag thingy in my throat when I exhale and I end up having a coughing fit almost every single time 🙄 does anyone have any tips they can give me to not cough as much?
