Intense cramps from paragard

Hey ladies! I got my paragard three weeks ago and it’s been a tough ride for sure. I love the benefits and it’s worth it, but the cramps are absolutely killer. I mean, I’m used to bad cramps, but these suckers feel like I’m getting the dang thing inserted all over again. I hear they can last for up to three months as your body adjusts. Any recommendations for the pain?

Sometimes the pain is lessened or goes away with 600-800mg of ibuprofen (my doc said that amount was safe for me to take), but it doesn’t always help. If anyone has suggestions for some holistic/natural remedies or pain management techniques I’m all ears.
