Freezing colostrum?

I'm 28+3 days and I'm getting a pump soon. My husband suggested pumping some of the colostrum out. Has anyone done this.? Will it make my milk come in sooner of i do .?

I believe it’s suggested not to pump before birth, and no it won’t help your milk come in faster. It’ll come a couple days after you have your baby.

What was his basis for suggesting that? It won’t make your milk come in faster but it may instead send you in to premature labor.

Freezing the colostrum for that long by time you actually give birth would hinder the benefits of it if I’m not mistaken. And its not gonna make your milk come in. Your way too early yet.

Your milk coming in is triggered by the placenta detaching.  Pumping now won't change that at all.  And it can put you into early labor

Wait until you reach 37 weeks if you want to do this because it can cause you to go into labor. At 37 weeks your considered full term. You don't want to go into labor before that.
