College Cheating Scandal

Here’s a brief explanation for those who don’t know:

Here’s the thing, is this terrible? Yes. I think it’s awful that such lengths were taken to ensure such unmotivated and unqualified kids secured their positions in college - positions that were stripped from hardworking and actually qualified students.

But how is this different than parents who donate wings and millions to ensure their child gets into a college in a similarly unqualified fashion? Is it just the sneakiness?

To me, this is no different. To me there are two admission processes, for the rich, and for the qualified. Thoughts?
