Late AF went to DR

Has anyone ever went to the doctor to get blood work done and the doctor decided to check your thyroid your hormones and put you on Provera to start Aunt Flo? The urine test at doctor's office came back negative but I still have no PMS symptoms or pregnancy symptoms. Thinking about waiting before I start the Provera because I spotted one time bright red blood yesterday so I'm thinking maybe I ovulated late and that was implantation bleeding. Any advice would help cuz right now my mind is going a million miles a minute!
