Am I wrong??

I’ve been dating my boyfriend for about a month now, we’ve talked marriage and vague future plans but we both know it’s a long way off lol. He’s really close with his sister and today it somehow came up that he would consider his sister of equal importance with his wife someday, whereas I’ve known my whole life I want a husband who will put me first... am I being totally unreasonable or is this a normal thing to want and expect? I completely understand family is important and we haven’t been together all that long, I’m just curious what you married people think haha
Update: guys I’m not insane we’re not getting married after a month calm down 😂 when I said we talked marriage I meant we’ve discussed the idea, not like planned a proposal already! Jesus hahaha

Yes. You’re being unreasonable. Just because the two of you get married doesn’t mean his sister suddenly is no longer his sister. There might be cases where something comes up and his sister will need to be his top priority and other times it’ll clearly, and hopefully majority of the time, be you. My husband is currently going through this. He’s extremely close with his family and especially his siblings. His sister is currently going through a really bad situation and she’s currently his top priority. She needs him right now and he should be able to be there for her without me making him feel guilty just because I’m his wife. As a wife, you aren’t always going to “come first” just because you’re the wife, but that doesn’t mean you’re any less important or loved by him.

If you get married to him, you should be first. When we went to marriage counseling our pastor explained how the umbrella should fall; God first, spouse second, children, and then family. 
Him prioritizing you is of major significance. I understand being close with family. I am extremely close with mine; but my husband and I know that we each come first. Obviously things come up for me to be with my family and the same goes for him. But we check with each other first and let each other know what’s going on. When you’re married you’re a team. 
But it’s only been a month for y’all. People change. His priorities will change. You need to allow him to put his family first now because y’all are only beginning to date. He will realize where you need to be when the time comes.

This is a stupid thing to fight about or worry about. You’ve been together for two seconds. i’m guessing you guys are young.. his sister is his bff clearly. Dont stress over dumb hypothetical arguments like this. And talking about marriage a month in is a bit -er-fast... dont you think?
