Cervical Checks at 36 weeks. Who’s in the room?

Sorry, probably a silly question. 
So my daughter and husband only sometimes go to my checkups with me. Next visit I’ll be getting my cervix checked and group B testing. Should I have them tag along or sit this one out? 🥴
Just trying to save on the awkwardness all the way around...lol
Also, my doctor is a male.

It’s all up to how comfortable you are with them being in the room while your doctor is checking your cervix.

You should do whatever you're comfortable with, however I personally would NOT want my kid to see mommy's vag and butthole get swabbed... followed by a good deep fingering by the doctor 😂 
I had my test and cervix check today and I was happy to be solo. My doctor is also a male so he brought a female nurse into the room for it.

It’s whatever you’re comfortable with. My husband goes to every appointment with me (it’s his first biological child and he’s way too excited). I’ll start getting checked soon but I don’t care if he’s in the room with me. There’s a place for him to sit at my head so he’s not seeing anything (not that I care) or in the way.

Its literally 2 to 3 minutes.. I doubt your hubby won't mind staying in the room.

I’ve had my kids with me before for the group b test and being checked. There’s a sheet over my legs and the chairs they sit in are at the head of the table so they don’t see anything or really pay attention really. My oldest was 6, my 2nd was 3, and my youngest at the time was 1 almost 2. We homeschool so my kids are almost always with me.

My boyfriend always comes to my appointments & he came along for my cervical check. Usually I’m comfortable with him staying but I asked him to leave because I wasn’t sure what to expect. (FTM lol) He did get a little upset but my doctor said it was ultimately up to me & what I was comfortable with. It honestly takes about 2-3 minutes so it’s not like you’ll be away from them too long if they don’t stay in the room with you.

When I had this done at the hospital my husband stepped out with our kids into the hall for a few minutes. It wasn’t a big deal as it only takes a couple minutes

My husband came to mine yesterday but my son did not. My son is two and very possessive over who gets to touch he. He would’ve flipped out lol 
But as for it being awkward for my husband... labor is way more awkward and intense so this is nothing !

My daughter comes with me to all my appointments (she's 3). I tried to get her to stay in the waiting room with my brother during the GBS test but she wasn't having it. So she came with. They didn't mind at all...the nurse helped make sure she stayed by my head and the doctor was SUPER fast. My hubby came with me to my GBS test when I was pregnant with my first and he stayed by my head so it wasn't awkward for him.
