How big of a dresser for baby?

I’m looking to buy a new dresser for the baby and also probably use it as the changing table. Is a full size dresser necessary or is a half one okay? The closet is pretty big and have a basement for extra storage of clothes when we are changing between sizes. I have a hard time believing I will fill up a large dresser. I’m looking at the Hemnes dresser at Ikea.

I’ve got the Hemnes dresser for my daughter and it’s full. I also have to closets in her room. 
It’s not just for the clothes, there’s also sleepsacks, blankets, extra bedding ect.

If you have room, just get the full size. Your child can continue to use it as he (and his clithes) get bigger.

Of you get the Hemnes from ikea just make sure you use the bolts they give you with it to bolt it to the wall. They gave a recall on them a few years back cause kids were climbing them and falling on them (and sadly killing some). We had the older version and were able to return it for our money back due to the recall

Depends on your space. I have room for a full dresser and prefer it so it’ll be used longer.

You will probably be good with a half, personally I like the full size when using it as a changing table because of extra diaper, wipes, power, and other things (bibs, packs, blankets). So it’s just a preference in my opinion for your situation!
