Question

If you don't get well and can't go back to work after fmla is up?  You don't want to go on disability but you aren't healthy to return to work for 2 weeks notice.  How can you resign (under the circumstances you aren't physically well)?   Anyone experience this?

You write our your notice and hand it in.

If you just wish to quit, you can do so at anytime just by writing a resignation letter.  You don’t need to include a reason, just say   “I wish to resign effective...”.  Two weeks notice is a good practice, but unless you have a legal obligation (which is rare) you aren’t required to give notice
