I don’t want to lose him

I’m in love with this guy for a year and he lives in a different city .. we meet occasionally .. go out for movies.. lunches.. dinner.. I’ve met all his friends...he’s met my friends...he is very emotional talks about his feelings and about life in general.. gives me advice... helps me out with stuff..we have insane sex... he doesn’t want to use condoms and says because he is not having sex with anyone else.. and even I’m not ...but he has not asked me to be exclusive with him yet.. I don’t know if we are on the same page...because I don’t want to lose him ...I’m continuing this... is this a friends with benefits relationship.. I want a relationship...what should I do to change it.. he doesn’t know that I love him ..
