Natural labor induction

Does anyone have any tips of naturally inducing labor? I am 39+1 with my second baby but first delivery (I had an emergency c section at 36 weeks with my first). Yesterday when I was checked they told me I was closed completely. I have been feeling tons of period like cramps and lots of Braxton Hicks. I just want the baby out. My doctor is willing to do a vbac as long as I go into labor naturally before 41 weeks. I am tiered of being pregnant and not being able to eat what I want (I have gd) I have tried everything. Walking, breast pump, sex, weird excersizes on YouTube. Please help!
