NHS exemption card?

Hi I’m in The UK - I’m 8 weeks pregnant and had my booking appointment Monday but I’ve just found out I’m entitled to free prescriptions and should get an exception card?
Do I need to ask my midwife for this specifically or my GP etc?
Disappointed no one told me about it to be honest  I saw my GP first then the midwife a few weeks later 😕

Oh and I’m 8 weeks too! Well should be 8 + 5 but had an early scan last Friday and was measuring 5 days behind 🙈

Hi chick, you need to go to the GP and get an FW8 form (I think thats what it’s called) that’s what the midwife told me to do this week! I thought that it was only from 12 weeks but she told me it’s not ☺️

I got the form for my exemption card in the Bounty pack I got from the Midwife (the one with my pregnancy notes in). If you didn’t get one ask for one at your GP surgery. You then need to fill it in and your GP surgery should be able to send it off for you (at least that’s what mine did). xx
