Last Trimester Health Blues

C

I don’t know if I am asking for advice or just ranting here, so feel free to tell me your experiences!

I have always had a sensitive tummy. I am lactose sensitive (usually just full fat dairy has been an issue) and the occasional acid reflux after citrus consumption or too much fried food, so I tend to avoid those things. I also frequently have a day of diarrhea here or there, usually without a known trigger, but I’ll eat something like the BRAT diet and hydrate a lot afterwards.

I am now 34 weeks 3 days pregnant and the diarrhea has become rather frequent. Still only a day or so at a time, but at least once a week for the last few weeks. I have also had very frequent issues with acid reflux (to the point of regurgitation and leading me to vomit the entire contents of my stomach). In trying to figure out triggers for these things, it looks like a large part of my daily consumption needs to be avoided until baby gets here, unless I want to spend a lot more time in the bathroom. I do not wish to do that.

To top it off, I am a rather picky vegetarian, so options are minimal.

So I have a couple of questions for the class, then:

1) anyone have recipes for vegetarians who don’t like many veggies and also trying to avoid acidic and fatty foods? Save me from the land of bland!

2) I have also lost some weight in the last week (about 5 pounds) from having both issues hit on alternating days (with a few fun hours of overlapping issues yesterday). Is this okay as long as I am still regularly consuming food and staying hydrated?
