Sip and see?

Question

Has anyone ever hosted a sip and see after their previous babies have been born? Our hospital limits guests to four predetermined people so a lot of our friends and family will not be able to come meet our little one. How long after baby was born should we host it? I figure getting the bulk of the visitors at once would be nice instead of a constant parade of people.

We’re considering it too! I didn’t mind people visiting at random times with our first but some visitors stayed WAY too long.  It is nice to put a date and time frame on visits.  Probably in May when she is at least 6 weeks old.  We like hosting parties especially when the weather is nicer so this is a good excuse.

We are planning to have one about 6 weeks after baby is due. I think its smart to have a predetermined time so people arent constantly 'dropping by'

It's a cute idea and whilst it gets it over with in 1 day, it may be very tiring organising it and having so many people around at once. Just make sure you tell people not to come if they are sick, baby will be very vunerable to germs until they get all their vacines.
