Is my piercing rejecting?

I got my surface Tragus Piercing about 5 months ago and i think it got infected. I dont know if I should take it out or not? The skin is getting thinner. And more of the bar is showing.

It really is painful. Should i just take it out and let it heal? Also i think thats pus which is a sign of infection how do i clean it to get rid of the infection
