How do you get approved for apartments?

So i want to know if i get approved for a apartment like make enough money which i kinda dont but my name is on the list and they called me yesterday if i was interested on getting this apartment that was available but does that mean that i got approved and could get an apartment?

No, they will do a credit check. Just because you are on a list doesn’t mean you have been approved already.

Usually apartments need you to prove your income, and depending on the size you have to make 3x the monthly rent. If you don't, they may ask if you have a guarantor, and if you do that may help. If you don't you dont get an apartment. Not sure if the apartment you're looking at is section 8 housing though, I believe that's a bit different but I'm not sure. I'm going based off what we had to do to get ours.
