Ten years.

Its been ten years and I still wonder what could have been. Its been ten years since you came to my house and asked to come inside and I denied you because my mom was home. It’s been ten years since you chose her , my friend, over me. It’s been ten years I’ve hated her. It’s been ten years and I wonder what could have been.

When i was pregnant I saw you at a restaurant and I hid because I didn’t want you to see me pregnant and I’ve thought about you ever since.

I just wish I could see you again.

It’s been ten years and I’m terrified I’ll see you at the reunion and I’m terrified you’ve forgotten me.
