first appointment! no ultrasound

i’m 5 weeks 5 days and just left my first appointment. they offered an ultrasound, but i didn’t see much point so early (first pregnancy, no issues) so got blood work drawn and will have results tomorrow. i’m going back in 2 weeks for an ultrasound though when there is hopefully more to see!

my husband is wary of ultrasounds and really doesn’t want one until way later when we can determine the gender. but i can’t really find any reason why one would be contraindicated this early. i just really want to see our little bean!
