Should I get pregnant?

So my husband and I got married and November after being together for four years. We decided to get off BC and just let whatever happen, happen and if we weren’t pregnant by November we’d actually start trying. However, I recently injured myself and had to have reconstructive knee surgery. I can’t decide if I should get back on the pill and let myself fully heal or just take my chances. We want a baby more than anything, but I’m afraid that would interrupt my healing process. What would y’all do?

I think you should wait. Babies sleep alot for the first few days but once they get alert they stay alert for along time! Youll be all over the place and not to mention it will be physically and mentally exhausting. Baby will need you there 100% and if your knee is healing then its going to be very hard on you and you wont enjoy the time with your baby.

I’ve had reconstructive knee surgery and two kids. I would definitely want to have my knee at at least 90% before having a baby.   I would want to feel safe on my feet with my little one and not have to worry.  Pregnancy, delivery, and new baby can all possibly be hard on the knees.
