My almost two year old refuses to put himself to sleep

Title says it all. I'm at my wits end. He refuses to put himself to sleep, wants to be breastfed to sleep every time. I'm so over breastfeeding though. It's been two months since he started sleeping through the night, which is progress! But I have had to climb into his crib and breastfeed him in there just so he slept in it. But now if I don't breastfeed him when its naptime or bed time he screams bloody murder until he throws up. I dont know what to do 😭 my boyfriend can get him to sleep just fine, but he works long hours and I'm a stay at home mom. So it's not like he can get our boy down to sleep every time.
