Pelvic floor physical therapy?

Anyone have experience with this? I’m 6 weeks postpartum and my doctor suggested it.

It took 2 months of weekly therapy to get back to normal for me, but it was so 100% worth it. I would do it again and not wait so long if I had it to do over.
Sex was so painful, my hips had healed back with one tilted forward, which was pulling my pubic bone out of alignment, which surprisingly enough, most of those ligaments and muscles all come back and attach near your pelvic floor/vaginal canal and can make sex HURT like a bitch.
It also made sitting uncomfortable, getting up from laying down and sitting up and down painful sometimes.
Pelvic floor physical therapy REALLY helped. I still do some of the exercises now that I'm pregnant again, just to keep limber.

No i haven't... But most physical therapy is stuff you can do at home... Personally I wouldn't be paying for help on that specific thing. Kegals and other pelvic floor exercises are free. There's a few awesome girls on Instagram that I've found that address this postpartum issue frequently.

I had a somewhat traumatic delivery with use of a vacuum and tearing and my bowel function hasn’t been the same since ... plus still having vaginal and perineal soreness. Definitely interested in going to therapy. Just thinking the internal exam component of it may be potentially awkward? But I know my pelvic floor is weakened and definitely would like to correct it before it worsens and before I have more children.
