So I'm having my bathroom remodeled and needed to move my hallway runner rug. Its held down with putty on the underside corners to keep it from slipping so I needed to scrape it off. I carry a pocketknife so I just used that to scrape it.

The contractor comes over and says "uh oh a women with a knife that's scary."

I said what even though I heard him I just wanted to make sure that's what he really said. And he repeated exactly that.

I didnt know what to say back so I just looked at him and he laughed.

Wtf does that mean exactly, it seems sexist to me but idk is it just a joke?

He also said I needed to wait for my husband to move stuff in the garage to make room to store all the new tiles, cabinets and shower door until its installed. So apparently I cant do it myself??
