Hi moms! I have a week old baby and a few days ago we got told that she tested positive for pku. Waiting for the 2nd set of results back but really hoping for a negative. However, the genetics doctor we went to see was all too positive to tell us that she definitely has pku, he then laughed at my husband when he began to tear up and cry at this diagnosis. I thought it was rude and the fact that he showed no signs of sympathy really makes me sad at the fact that he might get to be her doctor if it does come back positive. Any thoughts??
