BC help

Okay, I recently removed (removal was January) my nexplanon implant from arm due to issues with the device. I have issues with insanely heavy, painful and long periods and I immediately realized that my body had snapped right back to those heavy, and painful cycles. I really wanted to be off of birth control but I feel like it’s the only way to survive every month by not having a period. Are there any birth controls anyone recommends that they’ve noticed has specifically helped with relieving painful periods? I wouldn’t care about having my periods if they weren’t painful. I have tried IUDs and my shifted out of place so I am not a fan and would like to avoid that form of bc.
