When do you start getting checked??

With my oldest, i was in a car accident at 27 weeks and went into preterm labor. So i was checked twice a week every week until i had him at 37 weeks. But this time i only had my original pap and that was it so far. 
I go in for my 29+4 appointment on Tues. Just wondering what to expect.

I was checked at 36 weeks, only because they were doing the Strep B test. They won’t be checking me again.

I won’t be checked until I go into labor or I’m post-date, unless there’s a medical reason to monitor my cervix

I don't think I ever want to be checked until I go into labor or need to be induced... I don't want a hand up there unless necessary

Had step b swab at 35 weeks and was told I will get cervix checked this coming week at 38 weeks

Typically 36 weeks is when they start it’s a choice tho you can say know I started earlier as well because I’ve tried to go into labor twice before full term

I'm 39 weeks and they still haven't. They offered if I wanted to be but said that theres no medical reason to do so. I think it just depends on your specific situation.

I wasn’t ever checked until I arrived at the hospital in labor. Two uncomplicated pregnancies with full term births

Good to know!! Thanks girls!! I definitely don't want to do that any more than i possibly have to. 
I felt so bad, being a short fat girl myself, but the first nurse that went to check me... Her fingers looked like little over stuffed vienna sausages!! I tried to tell her no, but my mom, who was in the accident with me and had refused to leave my side started talking in random blurred sentences that made 0 sense. I was paying attention to her and the nurse checked me while i was preoccupied. I was already dilated to a 2!! They moved me up to l&d and rushed my mom off to CT. She had a pretty severe concussion... From head butting me!! Also we both had massive bruises on our shoulders from hitting each other!! We were t-boned, in a school zone, by one of the other mothers!!
