Dilating & Being Admitted

So, I’ve been told a couple of different things about this topic and I just want to see what y’all have been told etc. Some hospitals(mine included) admit you if you’re 4 cm or more dilated whereas others go based off of contraction timing and not dilation. I thought that they all followed a certain protocol when it comes to this? I’m at a 2 1/2 so hopefully soon they’ll just be able to admit me and get this show on the road lol. I’ll be 37 weeks Thursday(March 28). How are y’all doing with dilation?
