Someone please concur with me

My s/o thinks he cannot get me pregnant. But we JUST started trying this ovulation period. I haven’t been on birth control for 2 years but it was more like “if it happens, it happens.” Well I’ve been making him pull out because.. well I don’t know I guess the fear factor for me personally. I’ve been warming up to TTC but at the same time, not preventing. I somehow knew it wasn’t going to happen unless we actually tried.

And he came to me last night after sex really upsetand said “what if I just can’t get you pregnant. If I could, it would have happened by now.” And I said “well you’ve been pulling out.” And he said “yeah but I precum” and I explained that there’s not always going to be sperm in precum especially since we usually only go for one round and any other time we did have sex multiple rounds in a night, The chances of me actually being fertile during that time were slim because it’s not like I was paying attention.

I told him it can take people who are trying very hard a whole year to get pregnant. And he’s just really bent out of shape thinking he’s infertile.

I just need someone to agree with me so I can show him.. that using the pullout method and not getting pregnant is not cause for concern about your fertility and that we should give it a good try first before worrying about that
